Steve Sacks is the founder and publisher of the California Green Building Blog, and is a LEED AP.  Steve works as an attorney at Sellar Hazard Manning Ficenec & Lai LLP (www.sellarlaw.com) where he specializes in construction litigation and transactions. Before joining , Sellar Hazard, Steve created the Sustainability Practice Group at Bell, Rosenberg & Hughes, LLP.

Steve’s master’s thesis at the University of Wisconsin at Madison demonstrated how feudal land ownership rights during the Middle Ages sparked the emergence of a market economy in Europe.  In law school, he focused on contract law and the expansion of tax incentives for environmentally friendly construction.  In his spare time, Steve focuses on his two young children, his wonderful wife, and fixing his “fixer-upper.”
